As an Equity Member, how can I be assured of my 28 days?
Equity Member may make Advance Reservations for their guaranteed 28
days of occupancy. In order to provide for an equitable distribution
of reservations for Equity Members in subsequent years, a point
system has been established whereby the number of points assigned
will be weighted according to the dates of occupancy during the
calendar year.
How does an Equity Member make Advance Reservations?
Advance Reservations can only be made by Equity Members as they
apply to their 28 days
of occupancy. Prior to the beginning of each year, Equity Members
will receive an Advance
Registration Request Form upon which the Member may indicate his
preferred 28-day occupancy. Equity Members will receive written
confirmation of their dates of occupancy based upon their order of
preference as determined by their total number of points in relation
to other Equity Members requesting the same dates.
What if an Equity Member does not use all 28 days in one
year?
Although there can be no carryover of unused occupancy days, an
Equity Member can extend unused occupancy days to a guest of his
choice who will then be entitled to the same rights and privileges
as the Equity Member while in residence. Equity Members who have
exceeded their 28 days of occupancy can reserve additional days on a
space available basis seven days in advance of arrival, at a nominal
rate.
In what areas of the country do most Members reside?
Members come from a diverse area including twenty-seven states and
four foreign countries. Most of the recent memberships have
consisted of referrals from Members.
How do I schedule my participation in the recreational
amenities I am entitled to as a Member?
The Club Concierge will be responsible for making all reservations
for Members.
What is the policy regarding guests staying in Club
Suites?
Equity and Yacht Members may make reservations for guest occupying a
separate room (whether or not they are accompanied by a Member) on a
space available basis seven days in advance of arrival. Guests will
be charged full room rates. Sponsoring Members are responsible for
the conduct and charges of their guest.
How
much are membership dues?
Are there any other charges?
Membership dues will be paid directly to the Harbour Town Yacht Club
by Equity Members. In the current year (2004), dues are $3,000 if
paid annually in advance, or $3,200 in quarterly payments.
Thereafter, annual dues will be based on the annual budget prepared
by the Board of Governors in accordance with established guidelines.
The Boat Slip Owners Association will pay dues to the Harbour Town
Yacht Club on behalf of Yacht Members.
